A Pride & Prejudice Jewel Heist in “A Lover’s Fine Eye”
After her trip to Hunsford is canceled due to illness, Elizabeth Bennet stays in London, when a chance meeting leads her to become an intimate friend of Georgiana Darcy. This friendship pulls Elizabeth and into London’s haute tonne, and embroils her and Georgiana in a scandal involving a jewel heist.
The title references a piece of art and maybe a line of Shakespeare too:
A lover’s eyes will gaze an eagle blind.
A lover’s ear will hear the lowest sound.
~ William Shakespeare
